Capacitors together
Capacitors behave the opposite way to resistors: side by side they make a bigger bucket, in a line they make a smaller one.
Ceq = C1 + C2
Two ideal capacitors. Parallel adds capacitance; series reduces it and divides the voltage unevenly when values differ. Each part keeps its own voltage rating, tolerance and ESR.
